First 300 at the Gate!

Those crazy board members at DeutscheMarques wanted to give away a gift to thank people for supporting our fun German car events over the past ten years.

The first 300 cars through the gate on Saturday, October 15 will receive this cool enamel pin with an OKTOBERFEST ribbon. Perfect for your Alpine hat!
Don't have an Alpine hat!?! We'll have a limited number of them available for sale, too!
And did we mention German food, beer and wine? German root beer for those who prefer that. And a real, live Oom-Pah band!
What's not to like? See you Saturday, October 15. Gate lifts at 9:00 AM. The party goes to 4:00 PM.

OKTOBERFEST 2022!!

We have some MOST EXCELLENT news to share!

You KNEW the 2nd Annual OKTOBERFEST celebration on October 15 at the Gilmore Car Museum would be BIGGER and BETTER than ever, didn’t you!?!
This year, the GCM is really pulling out all the stops!
Instead of the gigantic tent from last year, they are moving vehicles out of the Carriage House (next to the Gilmore Bar) and converting it into a German Beer Hall! You’ll be able to hear the DeutscheMarques Oom-Pah Band even better, and there will be MORE German beer, MORE German wine, MORE German food and we’re adding German root beer for the younger guests (and those who do not choose to imbibe).
And - as if that isn’t enough - we’re increasing the number of cars we’ll send out on a fall color tour and starting earlier, at 9:30 AM. Plus, you’ll be able to pre-register to go on the tour!
The Best Traditional Dressed competition continues and - in addition to awarding German beer steins (filled with German beer) for Gentlemen and Ladies - we adding a beautiful (root) beer stein trophy for the best dressed young person!
Details and additional information on the celebration and pre-registration will follow on our Facebook page, website, and email blasts. So stay tuned!
But be sure to block out Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is going to be FUN!

 535 German Cars attend DM10!

It's official! 535 cars attended DM10 on July 9, 2022, continuing our record-breaking turnouts. That's 7% bigger than last year. We have consistently grown all ten years, thanks to a lot of cool cars coming from far and wide.
Leading the increase was Audi, with a 27% improvement over 2021! Congrats to Audi Club Michigan president David Keller and his leadership team!
Porsche was up nearly 13%, thanks to no conflicts with their annual Porsche Parade this year.
And Mercedes-Benz had a very respectable increase of 10%. New M-B president Matthew Short gets some of that credit.
Largest marque represented? BMW, again. But Porsche is hot on their heels. Look for the 2022 pie chart here!
Thank you all for attending! Mark your calendars for the first Saturday after July 4 next year. That would be July 8, 2023! See you at DM11!
